Before starting their company, Bruce Conwell and Jerry Arehart spent several decades providing sales, product training, service and support for Midwestern weld distributors. While developing a tremendous depth of welding knowledge, they were also witnesses to the birth and rapid growth of industrial robots. As robotic welding systems grew into mainstream use, so did the need for a dedicated robotic systems integrator. In March 1996, Bruce and Jerry started Tec Weld Automation.
As they had in their work for welding distributors, Bruce and Jerry made delivering customers’ needs the first priority. Tec Weld Automation’s stated mission was “making our customers more competitive in the global marketplace”. Tec Weld Automation became known for delivering a quality product at an affordable price.
Continued growth provided opportunities to build a diverse array of material handling, machine tending, paint, assembly and other robotic systems. Realizing the company name no longer reflected this broader range of experience, Tec Weld Automation became TW Automation in 2012.
In 2016 TW Automation celebrates 20 years as a robotic system integrator and technical services company. Much has changed but our focus remains constant: We go the distance for every customer, every time. You can count on TW Automation to be there every step of the way, from planning and conceptual development through testing and ongoing support.
